Sulieman Benn, the left-arm spinner, needs to show his commitment to the West Indies team before he can be considered for international cricket, the chairman of selectors Clyde Butts has said.Benn, 30, hasn’t played for West Indies since the World Cup in March, and was dropped after unfavourable reports from the team management about his behaviour during the tournament. He missed the entire home summer and was left out of the squad for the two Twenty20s in England next month as well.”I think Sulieman Benn would tell you point-blank that he is available for selection but of course you know what happened when Sulieman Benn went to the World Cup with us,” Butts said in a television interview on August 23. “We had some issues with Benn and nothing has happened since then to show us that he has changed his ways and certainly wants to play for West Indies.”Benn has had a string of disciplinary problems since debuting for West Indies in 2008: he was suspended for two one-day internationals for an incident involving Brad Haddin during West Indies’ tour of Australia in 2009, and then during South Africa’s visit in 2010 he received another ban for an altercation with Dale Steyn and was also sent off the field in a one-dayer by his captain Chris Gayle for refusing to do what the captain asked.After the World Cup, legspinner Devendra Bishoo took over Benn’s spot in the side and made a promising start to his international career. Liverpool are reportedly close to their first signing of the summer, in the form of defender Aissa Mandi.

According to beIN Sports commentator Hafid Derradji (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), the Reds and Real Betis are in talks over a move for the Algeria international.

Mandi is currently valued at £10.8million according to Transfermarkt, which is a fair price for the versatile defender. The 28-year-old can play across the entire back-line, despite predominantly being a centre-back.

Jurgen Klopp could be looking to provide a long-term partner for Virgil van Dijk or add another option to his defensive roster, particularly given that Dejan Lovren has moved on. The holding Premier League champions will need to shift into gear and recruit some new meat if they want to try their hand at defending their first ever title next season.

According to French outlet Soccer Link, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is attempting a squad overhaul with English and experienced Premier League players at the top of their list, one of which is the Aston Villa skipper.

Mourinho is still technically in need of a replacement for Christian Eriksen and there can’t be many better options out there than Grealish, who has just proven he’s more than capable of impressing in the top-flight.

Only Kevin de Bruyne managed to create more chances than the Englishman last season whilst he also averaged 2.5 key passes, 2 shots and 2 dribbles per game, via WhoScored, on top of his ten goals and eight assists in all competitions.

Despite losing the game 3-2 back in February, Grealish gave Serge Aurier all sorts of nightmares on the day – per SofaScore, he recorded five key passes, two successful dribbles and won eight duels.

His situation at Villa has been likened to Gunners great Thierry Henry – that’s how impossible he will be to replace whilst his boss Dean Smith compared him to Dele Alli, claiming that he has “star quality as well”.

If that’s not enough, Robert Pires believes Grealish is “very complete,” so Mourinho stick the “special player” alongside Giovani Lo Celso and ahead of new lynchpin Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and watch Spurs’ engine room transform into something spectacular.
