Quando o Palmeiras entrou em contato com Luiz Felipe Scolari, o técnico já estava em conversas para assumir a seleção paraguaia. Após a vitória sobre o Cerro Porteño (PAR), a imprensa do país o questionou sobre o motivo para a negociação melar.

-Eu tive em contato por praticamente 20 dias com o presidente (Robert Harrison, da Federação Paraguaia). Meu procurador, Jorge Machado, conversou muito com ele, eu também. Ouvi, estava dialogando quando viria, com quem viria, de que forma eu faria o trabalho aqui, mas eu estava em Lisboa e tive a proposta do Palmeiras – explicou o treinador.

Felipão chegou a dizer que “provavelmente” teria assumido o Paraguai na semana em que acabou fechando contrato com o Palmeiras até 2020. Ele estava sem clube desde o fim de 2017, quando deixou o Guangzhou Evergrande (CHN) e também recebeu ofertas para assumir o Egito e Coreia do Sul no período.

A intenção era de haver um encontro ou em Lisboa, onde estava Scolari, ou em São Paulo, para fechar o acordo com a seleção. A possibilidade de ter uma terceira passagem no clube em que é ídolo, contudo, acabou pesando.

– Conversamos (com o Palmeiras) e é uma casa que tenho profundo apreço e optei por ficar no Palmeiras. Por outras razões, não só porque o Palmeiras é uma casa que me dá qualidade, mas para minha família, por outras coisas que tinha de definir. Tenho o maior carinho pelo presidente da Federação, agraço, desejo toda sorte, tive todas as informações com o Chiqui Arce e que fique para um a próxima. أجرى البرازيلي مارسيلو لاعب ريال مدريد الأسبق والذي فسخ عقده مؤخرًا مع أولمبياكوس اليوناني، مقابلة مطولة تحدث خلالها عن وقته مع النادي الملكي وكواليس رحيله، كما تحدث عن النجم البرتغالي كريستيانو رونالدو.

وغادر مارسيلو صفوف ريال مدريد في صيف 2022 حيث انتهى عقده مع الميرنجي ولم يجدده في ظل عدم اعتماد المدير الفني كارلو أنشيلوتي عليه بصورة كبيرة.

وفي مقابلة مع “ESPN” تحدث مارسيلو عن رونالدو والذي زامله في صفوف ريال مدريد، ويلعب الآن للنصر السعودي.

وقال مارسيلو: “عندما نبدأ لعب كرة القدم، نعلم أن الأمر لن يستمر إلى الأبد، من الواضح أن رونالدو لم يعد يتمتع بالسرعة التي كان يتمتع بها من قبل، لكنه يمكنه اللعب مع أي فريق في العالم”.

وأضاف: “لقد قدم دائمًا الأفضل لفرقه، نحن نتحدث حول لاعب تواجد في التشكيل الأفضل للفيفا لمدة 17 عامًا على التوالي”.

وبشأن فترته الأخيرة في ريال مدريد والرحيل، أفاد البرازيلي: “كنت أعرف أنني لست لاعبًا أساسيًا وقلت ماذا يمكنني أن أفعل لمساعدة الفريق؟ لقد شعرت بالفشل لأنني لم ألعب بالطبع”.

وأصر: “لا يوجد لاعب يقول إنه سعيد بوجوده على مقاعد البدلاء، وإذا كان هو يقول ذلك، إنه يكذب، إنه مستحيل”.

وتابع: “لقد تدربت على أكمل وجه لأنني دائمًا ما اصطدمت بكارفاخال ولوكاس فاسكيز وقلت إن هؤلاء الأوغاد سيذهبون إلى أقصى حد ولن يمروا فوقي، سأساومهم على أي حال”.

وأشار: “لقد ساعدت زملائي في الفريق من خلال التنافس في التدريب وشعرت بأنني مفيدًا للغاية، لقد ساهمت طريقة وجودي وفرحتي كثيرًا أيضًا، شعرت بالمكسب أيضًا”.

وأكد: “إنه لأمر سخيف أن تكون قائدًا ولا تلعب، وإخبار ابنك أن المدرب لا يعتمد عليك، لكن هذا الموسم كان الأفضل لأنني تعلمت الكثير كإنسان”.

سُئل مارسيلو عن أفضل المدربين بالنسبة له، وأجاب: “أفضل من يجري المحادثات، تلك التي أدلى بها مورينيو، المدرب المتخصص في الوصول إلى رأسك، لقد غيرتني إلى أن أكون عدوانيًا ومقاتلًا”.

وأكمل: “في إدارة المجموعة أختار زيدان، لأنه كان هناك وقت لعب فيه كيكو كاسيا 25 مباراة وكان كيلور نافاس راضيًا على مقاعد البدلاء، لقد أبقى الجميع سعداء”.

واستطرد: “وكارلو أنشيلوتي حافظ على طريقته الهادئة، سجلنا هدفًا وكنا دائمًا هادئين، كان من الجيد جدًا بالنسبة لي أن ألعب تحت قيادته كقائد الفريق، لكنه يفضل أن يعتمد على شخص آخر، وهذا طبيعي، وقد ساعدني في هذا الأمر”.

واسترجع مارسيلو ذكريات مباريات الكلاسيكو الأربعة ضد برشلونة في عام 2011، واسترسل: “كان هذا جنونًا، كنت ألعب في الليجا وكأنني ألعب في دوري أبطال أوروبا، والعكس صحيح (ضاحكًا)، لقد انتظر سنة كاملة لرؤية ريال مدريد وبرشلونة، وأتذكر جيدًا النهائي في فالنسيا، لقد قلنا إن ريال مدريد سيكون جاهزًا”.

وأتم: “نحن نتحدث عن أفضل برشلونة في التاريخ ولم نتمكن من المنافسة في القمة، كان ذلك عندما وصل زيدان وكدنا نعود من الليجا عندما قلنا إننا مستعدون للقتال دائمًا مع أي فريق، وقال مودريتش وراموس إنه يمكننا الفوز بثلاث أو أربع بطولات دوري أبطال أوروبا على التوالي”.

أكدت تقارير سودانية، أن إدارة الهلال السوداني سلمت مراقب مباراة فريقهم أمام الأهلي، تقريرًا طبيًا خاصا بطبيب النادي عوض عثمان الجعلي، إثر اعتداء محمد الشناوي حارس مرمى المارد الأحمر عليه.

والتقى الأهلي مع الهلال على أرضية ملعب الأخير “الجوهرة الزرقاء” ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من مرحلة المجموعات، وفاز أصحاب الأرض على الضيوف بهدفٍ دون رد.

وشهدت المباراة مشادات بين لاعبي الأهلي والجهاز الفني لفريق الهلال خلال المباراة عن طريق محمد الشناوي وطبيب الفريق الأزرق، وبعد اللقاء اعتدى أحد أفراد الجهاز على علي لطفي حارس المارد الأحمر البديل.

وأكدت صحيفة “سودانا فوق” وفق مصدرًا لها داخل نادي الهلال، أن الإدارة سلمت تقرير طبي عن اعتداء الشناوي على طبيب النادي عقب نهاية اللقاء.

وقال المصدر ذاته، أن الجعلي طبيب الفريق تم نقله إلى أحد المستشفيات في أم درمان، وتم تدوين تقرير ورفعه للاتحاد الإفريقي.

وأوضح أن طبيب الهلال روى تفاصيل المشادة والمناوشات التي حدثت مع محمد الشناوي، والتي أكد فيها أنه كان يُعالج أحد لاعبي الهلال ويرش المخدر عليه، وفوجئ بحارس الأهلي يرفع صوته ضده ظنا بأنه يُهدر الوقت.

وأشار الطبيب إلى أن أحمد عبد القادر لاعب الأهلي، جاء كذلك واشتبك مع الجهاز الطبي، وبعد اللقاء استمروا في ذلك، وعبد القادر ضربه بقوة، ليقوم بعمل أشعة في المستشفى بسبب تلك الضربة.

وشددت الصحيفة على أن لجنة الانضباط بالاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم “كاف”، فتحت تحقيقًا في الأحداث التي وقعت وتم تدوينها من قبل مراقب المباراة، ومن المنتظر أن تصدر قرارها خلال أيام.

Glasgow Rangers have been tipped to sell George Edmundson after his latest snub by Steven Gerrard.

Derby County secured the Rangers central defender on loan for the remainder of the campaign after he fell out of favour with Gerrard after being banned by the SFA for breaching COVID-19 rules with Jordan Jones.

Edmundson, whose contract with the Scottish giants is set to expire in 2023, has featured just once for the Gers in the 2020/21 campaign, having made 16 appearances across all competitions for the club in the previous season.

New signing Jack Simpson has been given the squad number previously worn by Edmundson, which has cast doubts about his future at the club.

Despite Gerrard hinting he has left the door open for Edmundson to resurrect his Rangers career, he has since been shipped out on loan to Pride Park for the rest of the season and pundit Frank McAvennie believes that the centre-back is out of the picture because he’s lost the belief of the manager.

“I would think so,” he told Football Insider when asked if Edmundson will be concerned that Simpson has been handed the number 4 shirt.

“You never keep your squad number anyway when you go out on loan so I wouldn’t look too much into that.

“I don’t think he’ll get back in, to be honest, they’ll be moving him on and especially after winning the league, they’ll be looking for a bit more quality.”

Long road back to Ibrox

Connor Goldson is currently the undisputed first-choice centre-back at Ibrox, with Leon Balogun and Filip Helander the other two battling to bag a spot alongside the Englishman, which has left Edmundson as the odd man out.

The 23-year-old was signed by Rangers for around £700,000 from Oldham Athletic on a four-year deal in 2019. Since then, he has shown flashes of brilliance, including an impressive league debut against Hamilton at Ibrox but has struggled to put together a string of decent performances. His latest show of indiscipline has hardly helped his case, either.

Unfortunately, his numbers also pale in comparison to those of his more experienced teammates. A lowly WhoScored rating of 5.52 sees him ranked the worst player out of the entire Rangers squad, although this can also be partly attributed to his lack of game time.

Edmundson had long been billed as one to watch for the future, with his old coach Nicky Law senior previously singing the praises of his former charge.

However, whether Rangers will decide to retain his services in the summer is another matter entirely and it’s looking like they will move him on.

O Palmeiras voltou a conversar com Gustavo Gómez, zagueiro do Milan, e avança para desta vez conseguir concluir sua contratação. O paraguaio de 25 anos deve ser emprestado por uma temporada, com o Verdão tendo a opção de comprá-lo ao fim do acordo.

Ele já havia sido oferecido em janeiro, só que na época os valores eram considerados altos demais – 7 milhões de euros (R$ 27,3 milhões na cotação naquele mês) por 80% dos direitos econômicos. O Verdão só iria continuar as tratativas naquela ocasião se conseguisse o jogador por empréstimo.

De acordo com o Sky Sports, da Itália, o Verdão pagaria 1,5 milhão de euros (R$ 6,5 milhões) para tê-lo por empréstimo, com opção de compra entre 4,5 milhões (R$ 19,6 milhões) e 5 milhões de euros (R$ 21,8 milhões). Os valores não são confirmados pelo Verdão.

Embora seja considerado bastante promissor, Gustavo Gómez jogou pouco na temporada que passou pelo Milan. Sua última partida foi no dia 23 de novembro de 2017, quando entrou durante a goleada sobre o Áustria Viena, na Europa League. Os italianos compraram o atleta do Lanús (ARG), em 2016.

Apesar das poucas oportunidades na Itália, é titular na seleção paraguaia. Fez dupla de zaga com Balbuena, ex-zagueiro do Corinthians, no amistoso contra o Japão, dia 12 de junho – os asiáticos venceram por 4 a 2.

Gómez não estava apenas na pauta do Palmeiras – o Boca Juniors (ARG) e Flamengo são outros interessados no jogador, que tem contrato com o Milan até junho de 2021. O clube paulista, contudo, é o favorito a levá-lo no momento.

Dos zagueiros à disposição, Antônio Carlos e Edu Dracena são os atuais titulares. Thiago Martins, Luan, Pedrão e Nico Freire, argentino recém-contratado, são outras opções. Juninho e Emerson Santos têm vínculo com o clube, mas estão emprestados ao Atlético-MG e ao Inter, respectivamente.

اجتمعت اللجنة المنظمة لبطولة كأس الأمم الأفريقية للشباب تحت 20 عامًا، برئاسة جمال علام رئيس مجلس إدارة الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، ورئيس اللجنة العليا المنظمة للبطولة.

وتنطلق بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا للشباب تحت 20 سنة، على الأراضي المصرية في الفترة من 19 فبراير الجاري حتى 11 مارس المقبل.

ومن المقرر أن تقام البطولة على 3 ملاعب هي استادات القاهرة والاسكندرية وهيئة قناة السويس، على أن يلعب منتخب مصر مبارياته على استاد القاهرة.

ووفقًا للصحفة الرسمية للاتحاد المصري فإن الاجتماع جاء للوقوف على الاستعدادات النهائية لتنظيم البطولة القارية.

حرص جمال علام في بداية الاجتماع على تقديم الشكر للدكتور أشرف صبحي وزير الشباب والرياضة لدعمه واهتمامه الكبير لخروج البطولة في أبهى صورة بما يتناسب مع اسم ومكانة الدولة المصرية.

تناول الاجتماع جميع التفاصيل المتعلقة بتنظيم البطولة، من حيث الفنادق، استقبال الوفود، الدعم اللوجيستي وعمل المتطوعين، وتواجد في الاجتماع عمر الهواري مسؤول المتطوعين في اللجنة المنظمة لكأس الأمم الأفريقية تحت 20 عامًا.

كما حضر الاجتماع ممثلون عن وزارة الرياضة، وهم محمد كردي رئيس الإدارة المركزية للأداء الرياضي، وعبد الرحمن شلش رئيس الإدارة المركزية لشؤون مكتب الوزير، ومحمود عزمي مدير الشؤون القانونية، وأحمد جمعة وعبد الأول محمد معاونا الوزير لشؤون البطولة، ومصطفى عبد الحميد رئيس الإدارة المركزية للشؤون المالية والإدارية، ومحمد عبد النبي رئيس الإدارة المركزية للمدن الشبابية والتعليم المدني، ومحمد الجزار مدير عام الشؤون المالية، وشاكر عبد الحليم “الشؤون المالية” وأحمد حمدي عزمي مدير المنتخبات القومية.
