وعلم بطولات، أن الاتحاد المصري لكرة السلة سيسلم النادي الأهلي درع البطولة وميداليات المركز الأول غدًا الثلاثاء في صالة الأهلي بالجزيرة، وذلك على هامش بطولة إفريقيا للأندية للسيدات.
وكان فريق الاتحاد قد انسحب من مواجهة الأهلي احتجاجًا على قرار خروج الجماهير من المدرجات، عقب الاشتباكات التي شهدتها مباراة الشباب بين الأهلي والاتحاد.
وكان من المقرر أن تقام مباراة الإياب بين الأهلي والاتحاد في تمام الساعة السابعة والنصف مساءً بصالة الشباب والرياضة بمدينة 6 أكتوبر، ضمن نهائي دوري المرتبط لكرة السلة، إلا أن الفريق السكندري رفض خوض المباراة احتجاجًا على الأحداث التي شهدتها مباراة الشباب في الخامسة مساءً، وقرار الاتحاد بخروج الجماهير من المدرجات قبل مواجهة الفريقين.

وشهدت مباراة الشباب بين الأهلي والاتحاد مشادات بعد نهاية اللقاء، حيث قام أحد لاعبي الاتحاد برمي الكرة باتجاه لاعبي الأهلي، ما أدى إلى مشاجرة كبيرة، وغادر فريق الاتحاد الملعب، بينما ظل الأهلي في الصالة حتى أعلن حكم المباراة نهاية اللقاء بعد الانتظار لمدة 20 دقيقة.
وبعد نهاية المباراة، احتفل لاعبو الأهلي بالتتويج بلقب دوري المرتبط لهذا الموسم، بناءً على قرار الاتحاد المصري لكرة السلة بعد انسحاب الاتحاد السكندري، ليحسم الأهلي اللقب بنتيجة 2-1.

Leeds United are keen to strengthen their Premier League survival bid with signings and could now go all out for one of France’s most exciting young defenders.
The Whites have endured a frustrating start to the campaign and will know the size of the challenge that lies ahead for Daniel Farke, who has received his fair share of criticism lately following a recent shaky run of form at Elland Road.
Undoubtedly, the German boss has shown he is capable of leading his side into the top-flight from the Sky Bet Championship, a market he may be willing to raid in mid-season to bolster his flailing attacking line.
Coventry City forward Haji Wright is on Leeds’ radar and could be someone who arrives at Elland Road for a fee in the region of £20 million, helped by the fact that his contract at Frank Lampard’s men is set to expire in the summer of 2027.

– Quando nós chegamos no intervalo a gente sabe que a necessidade é de continuar produzindo e empurrando o adversário para trás e buscar o segundo gol. Inclusive coloquei que administrar jogo nós já tínhamos aprendido que não era dessa forma que nós agiríamos. E nós buscamos o segundo gol. Porém, tem alguns detalhes na bola: no único lance que nós erramos, em cruzamento que teve de conclusão, o Atlético-GO foi efetivo. Então tem que olhar sob esse contexto. A partir daí ela traz cenários diferentes desde o primeiro jogo que foi acidentado. O gramado dá para ser melhor para ter um espetáculo melhor. Não dá para ter um Serra Dourada… faz tempo, mas eu joguei aqui. Serra Dourada era um prazer vir aqui. Agora a bola pipoca, e a qualidade do jogo ele te trava mais.

There is also an acceptance that a difficult summer transfer window and the bitter sale of Alexander Isak to Liverpool have knocked things out of kilter. Luckily, Nick Woltemade has been a shining light, and he proved his skill once again this week for Germany.

Since joining Newcastle from Stuttgart for a club-record £69m fee at the end of August, Woltemade has posted six goals for the Toon, quickly bedding in on English soil and proving he has what it takes to succeed Isak in the long run.
Moreover, he has scored three times in his past two outings for Germany, scoring a brace as his side sank Luxembourg in their World Cup qualifier on Friday evening.
Newcastle have their issues this season, but it’s curious that the 23-year-old has made it so his integration in Isak’s still-warm seat has not been one of them.
The 6 foot 6 striker’s unique skillset has seen him dovetail right into a system that has yet to click together, and when wide players like Anthony Gordon and Anthony Elanga find form, Howe could pull the strings of a frontline capable of throwing down with any defence across Europe.
Of course, football is about more than just the forwards, and there’s another Tyneside star whose performances this season have established him as one of the best in the business.
He’s even worth more than Woltemade.

Newcastle have many fine players contracted to St. James’ Park, but Sandro Tonali is fast emerging as the cream of the crop.
After joining from AC Milan for around £55m in 2023, the 25-year-old faced difficulties, but he rebounded last year and redefined Howe’s midfield, instrumental in a long and brilliant purple patch that led to glory.
Now, he is “the best player by a distance”, according to correspondent Craig Hope, and while Newcastle have some issues in the build-up, Tonali is becoming the defining force alongside Bruno Guimaraes.
Largely, this is because the Italian has become far more progressive on the ball, ranking this season among the top 5% of Premier League midfielders for progressive passes per 90, as per FBref.
And he is beginning to revel in a new level of recognition, with pundits and observers from afar coming to understand that Tonali is one of the best in the business.
His market value is a reflection of that. Woltemade might be the talk of the town, and in many ways, rightly so, but Tonali cut from a different cloth. He’s a maestro, endowed with impressive athleticism and unteachable technical skill.
There is talk of him falling into the same financial bracket as someone like Guimaraes, over the £100m mark, and this is indeed an accurate emphasis on the calibre of superstar at Howe’s disposal.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher said that Newcastle had “made a mistake” when signing the midfielder, given his suspension throughout his first year in England, but Tonali is now showing he’s one of the best Premier League signings of recent years, more so, even, than Woltemade.

And Tilak Varma felt all of this out in the middle. The quiet of the stands. The belief among the Pakistan players. The doubts of a billion people back home. Somehow he absorbed it all and produced a really special half-century.Concentrating as hard as he had to, there wasn’t a single moment through the innings where Tilak showed emotion. As if on cue, he took down both of Pakistan’s top scorers. Farhan and Fakhar were the only two to cross 15.On the back of Varun’s incisions, his team-mates came into their own. Axar Patel took two wickets in back-to-back overs. Kuldeep took three in one single over. Pakistan were 107 for 1 with 44 balls to play. They were bowled out with five balls remaining. A large part of their innings involved the batters going for slogs. In the front 10, they either made good contact or just plain missed. So just one wicket fell. That confidence fuelled the rest of his innings, reminding him that he needn’t over-exert himself. India had to settle for either singles or dots through the eighth and ninth overs of the chase as Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub stuck to the basics – keeping the stumps in play and asking India to take risks if they wanted to score quickly. Tilak rose to that challenge but even then, he was careful to go after the full one, the one that he could get to the pitch of and negate the turn. All that good work meant even with long-on in play, the ball went for six.In the 15th over, Tilak did another cool thing. With wickets falling around him, he had shown he was ready for a fight. In rebuilding India’s innings with barely a false shot, he showed he was in the zone. Now, seeing Haris Rauf running in, he showed a mind for problem-solving. He had seen how hard it was to hit with pace off the ball. Now that Pakistan were offering pace, he took full toll. Seventeen runs came from that 15th over and changed the complexion of the game. From needing 64 off 36, India needed 47 off 30.Dube cameoIndia were without their first-choice seam-bowling allrounder. Hardik Pandya was nursing a quad niggle and couldn’t make the XI. Shivam Dube did, after resting the last game. He was responsible for two absolutely vital sixes. The first of those showcased his spin-hitting ability as he tonked Abrar down the ground. The second exemplified how well he reads the game. He had faced, and watched from the other end, as Ashraf in the 19th over, tried to hide the ball outside off stump. So when he got back on strike, he indulged in an exaggerated trigger movement across his stumps to get closer to the ball and launch it over wide long-on. Dube contributed 33 off 22 to a momentum-shifting, match-winning, fifth-wicket partnership that yielded 60 runs off 40 balls. He also had to open the bowling for the first time in any format of cricket, finishing with 3-0-23-0. It was a splendid day’s work.The finishThese three India-Pakistan games have taken place under the shadow of far greater events. The two countries were in military conflict earlier this year. The two teams have not shaken hands. The two captains have even been avoiding eye contact. Rauf was fined for making gestures that seemed to point to those cross-border tensions.
